This volume contains the proceedings of the 2022 iteration of the ISPGAYA meeting, titled “Multidimensional Sustainability: Transitions and Convergences” and held on September 29 and 30th, 2022 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. The conference and resulting book intend to explore the involvement of Portugal, a country on the semi-periphery of the world system, in developments regarding the understanding of and progress toward sustainability. The conference was organized by ISPGAYA, an institution belonging to the private polytechnic higher education system in Portugal, and brought together participants from around the world. This volume intends to establish a milestone in the multidimensional approach to the theme of sustainability, affirming the concept's multi- and interdisciplinary nature and bringing together scholars across disciplines.
Mediapolis – Revista de Comunicação, Jornalismo e Espaço Público é a publicação científica do Grupo de Investigação em Comunicação, Jornalismo e Espaço Público, do Centro de Estudos Interdisciplinares do Século XX, e pretende ocupar um lugar de referência no espaço lusófono e latino-americano, na publicação de artigos e investigações, na área dos Media do Jornalismo, dando particular ênfase aos aspetos relacionados com as suas incidências no espaço público, nos sistemas políticos e na democracia. É um dos pólos privilegiados de divulgação e internacionalização do trabalho da investigação do Grupo de Investigação em Comunicação, Jornalismo e Espaço Público, devendo dar particular atenção ao desenvolvimento de novas linhas de investigação e à promoção do trabalho de novos investigadores.
This book is one of the results of the II International Seminar on Research on Mediatization and Social Processes. The II International Seminar on Research on Mediatization and Social Processes had a program developed at two levels: Debate panels, with invited researchers – five tables with the participation of researchers from Sweden (1), Russia (1), Portugal (1), Argentina (1), and Brazil (6).
