Listed in this volume are the results of chess competitions from all over the world--including individual and team matches--from 1986 through 1988. Entries record location and, when available, the group that sponsored the event. First and last names of players are included whenever possible and are standardized for easy reference. Compiled from contemporary sources such as newspapers, periodicals, tournament records and match books, this work contains 843 tournament crosstables and 130 match scores, and is indexed by events and by players.

Numerična simulacija taljenja in strjevanja z uporabo samoprilagodljive računske mreže
Delo obravnava razvoj in uporabnost metode kontrolnih prostornin na samoprilagodljivi računski mreži za simulacijo taljenja in strjevanja. Simulacija temelji na numeričnem reševanju enačb modela kontinuumske mešanice, ki omogoča enoobmočno obravnavo trdno-kapljevinskega sistema. Metoda kontrolnih prostornin za reševanje enačb uporablja neortogonalno računsko mrežo, katere točke se v vsakem računskem koraku prerazporedijo glede na izračunane vrednosti fizikalnih količin. V ta namen je uporabljena metoda za generiranje mreže z eliptičnim generatorjem. Prikazani izračuni so omejeni na primere v dvodimenzionalni pravokotni kotanji in obravnavajo ustaljena stanja trdno-kaplevinskega sistema, taljenje kemijsko čiste snovi in strjevanje binarne zmesi. Zadnji izračun je primerjan z razpoložljivimi eksperimentalnimi podatki. Razvita metoda se v vseh obravnavanih primerih izkaže za dovolj robustno in torej uporabno.
