Genealogy and life of Jean Pierre Fontenot (b. 1872), who was born in what is presently Evangeline parish in the town of Mamou, Louisiana. He married Estelle Soileau (b. 1875), daughter of Hermogene Soileau and Lezima Fontenot. They migrated to Soileau community in abt. 1899-1900. Ancestors come originally from France.
