Can a woman who doesn't remember her past trust a man who can't put the past behind him? Amanda Cross finds herself in a hospital bed, unsure of how she got there or, worse yet, who she is after an attack left her near death and with amnesia. Three people claim to know who she is: an overprotective sibling, a scheming ex-boyfriend, and the police detective assigned to her case who remembers all too well the past they shared together. All three may have ulterior motives for trying to help her regain her memory or not regain it at all. Amanda must struggle to recover her memory and learn whom to trust before her past comes back to haunt her.

Recent therapeutic advances in cancer treatment indicate that cancer is becoming a chronic disease rather than a killer. This comprehensive text is the first to define and address the broad spectrum of acute and chronic internal medicine disorders that occur in cancer patients and cancer survivors as side-effects of the disease itself, or of the treatment regimens. The authors cover nononcologic aspects of internal medicine such as anorexia, obesity, bone loss, diabetes, depression, pain, fatigue, congestive heart failure, skin disorders, and pneumonia. This book is conceived as a companion to standard internal medicine and oncology texts - a comprehensive reference resource for internists caring for cancer patients and oncologists in practice. The text is extensively indexed for easy access and retrieval of information.

Mayo Clinic Internal Medicine Board Review, 10th edition, is designed to meet the needs of physicians-in-training and practicing clinicians by updating their knowledge of internal medicine and preparing them for the ABIM certification and maintenance-of-certification examinations in internal medicine. For the 10th edition, contributors were asked to map chapters according to ABIM goals. At least 50 percent of the material will be new, with the remainder changed and updated. The redesign is intended to cover all ABIM goals while streamlining the text to make it more user-friendly. Large chapters have been broken up into smaller content-oriented chapters to facilitate shorter, more focused study opportunities. This book is divided into subspecialty topics (eg, allergy, cardiology, dermatology, etc) and cross-content topics related to general internal medicine (eg, men's health, women's health, geriatrics, etc). Questions and answers have been pulled from the main text to a companion book of Q&As to facilitate study.
Written by experienced faculty at Mayo Clinic, The NINTH EDITION is a completely revised and updated study guide that has proved invaluable for the American Board of Internal Medicine certification or maintenance of certification examination as well as for general practice review by physicians around the world.
