The papers of Kenneth MacDonald document his perspective and involvement as a DC alumnus and lawyer representing several Dartmouth students prosecuted after the spring 1969 takeover of Parkhurst Hall. They include correspondence, copies of newspapers and magazines, notes, official college statements and press releases, a copy of the official court transcript of the students{u2019} hearings, and official college guides and statements on discipline, standing, and conduct. Public records of the events and individuals{u2019} and the general public reaction are also included. Of note is MacDonald{u2019}s correspondence with history professor Harry N. Scheiber, who offers one "unofficial" viewpoint of the events from a faculty member{u2019}s point of view.
