Typed transcripts, prepared by staff of the Arkansas History Commission, of L.A. Smith's interviews with older residents of Booneville, Ark. The account of the Civil War experiences of W.T. Holland, though written in the first person, was actually written by L.A. Smith as Holland told it to him, and was written some years after the actual interview. Smith's interviews were subsequently used by him as material for newspaper feature articles.
