Il volume intende colmare la lacuna, tenuto conto che la disciplina è divenuta oggi materia obbligatoria di insegnamento nei Conservatori di Stato e mancando sostanzialmente manuali di sintesi aggiornati alle risorse di rete nel campo specialistico della bibliografia e biblioteconomia musicale.
