This volume presents Chinese paintings and calligraphy on fans from the Chen Xung Tang Collection of Hong Kong. Executed by 160 different artists, these fans include 130 paintings and 50 calligraphic works. The period involved spans from the 15th to the 19th centuries. There are not only works by famous masters of various schools, those by lesser artists, which have attained a certain degree of artistry, are also featured.
