Valentine Prentice
William Prentis (1514-1574) is the first traceable ancestor of the Prentice family. He was from Essex, England and was the father of 7 children. Valentine Prentice (1598?-1633) was the great-grandson of William. He was the first of the Prentices to come to America. He and his wife, Alice Bredda, had at least 3 children. They settled in Boston and later generations settled in Connecticut. Descendants live throughout the United States.
Pequot Plantation

The adventures of many early settlers are followed as they journeyed from England to Massachusetts and then to Pequot Plantation where they shaped the destiny of the new settlement.
