Self-proclaimed loner, Dylan Francis begins an internship where she undeniably doesn't fit in. Her eclectic fashion sense, love of body piercings and outrageous hair color is forced to take a back seat to the inevitably plain and boring that is the corporate office "look". But nothing can force Dylan's unconventional, rebel personality from taking a back seat. She goes through the internship with a wry attitude and sharp tongue, holding nothing back as she recounts the weeks of rule breaking flip-flops in the corridors, smoking on the third floor and of course the other obnoxious interns who more than likely had this coming.

They contain the remains of the earliest settlers, Civil War soldiers, early county officials and politicians, merchants, tradesmen, farmers, and their familes. Without their successful efforts to carve an existence out of the Winston County wildnerness, the rest of us would not be here. Much of the history of the county was written on the old tombstones found across the county. Volume I of this two volume series alphabetically covers Winston County Cemeteries A through L beginning with the Addison Church of God Cemetery and ending with the Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The book contains dozens of pictures of the cemeteries plus hundreds of annotations which include sites of unmarked graves mentioned in newspaper accounts plus the company and unit of every known Civil War era soldier, both Union and Confederate. We Are Their Voice
Do young people today find meaning in the Holocaust? That's the question that prompted a writing project across North America, Italy, and Australia asking young people to share their ideas about this time in history. Some students wrote short stories. Some discussed the impact of books they had read and wrote about the messages that they understood from these books. Several interviewed survivors and recorded their impressions. Many talked about how they have tried to make sense of this history in the world in which they now live. Others created works of art. Children wrote from their hearts with sensitivity, thoughtfulness, and great insight. Their teachers saw this opportunity as a gift, and it proves to all that young people can make a meaningful connection to the Holocaust. Their contributions give hope for a more peaceful and tolerant future.
