Artificial Intelligence in Medicine
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Joint European Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Medical Decision Making, AIMDM'99, held in Aalborg, Denmark, in June 1999. Case-Based Reasoning Technology
This state-of-the-art survey presents a coherent summary of research and development in case-based reasoning (CBR) undertaken in Germany in recent years. The book opens with a general introduction to CBR presenting the basic ideas and concepts, setting the terminology, and looking at CBR from some new points of view. The main part of the book, consisting of nine chapters, is devoted to detailed presentations of CBR applications successfully performed in various areas. Among these application areas are decision and sales support, text processing, adaptation, planning, design, software engineering, tutoring systems, and medicine. Advances in Case-Based Reasoning
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th European Workshop on Case-Based Reasoning, EWCBR-98, held in Dublin, Ireland, in September 1998. The 41 revised full papers presented were carefully selected and reviewed for inclusion in the proceedings. The contributions address the representation and organization of cases in case-bases, the assessment of case similarity, the efficient retrieval of cases from large case-bases, the adaptation of similar case solutions to fit the current problem, case learning and case-base maintenance, and the application of CBR technology to real-world problems.
