The third in a series of international conferences on Integrated Formal Methods, IFM 2002, was held in Turku, Finland, May 15–17, 2002. Turku, situated in the south western corner of the country, is the former capital of Finland. The ? conference was organized jointly by Abo Akademi University and Turku Centre for Computer Science. The theme of IFM 1999 was the integration of state and behavioral based formalisms. For IFM 2000 this was widened to include all aspects pertaining to the integration of formal methods and formal notations. One of the goals of IFM 2002 was to further investigate these themes. Moreover, IFM 2002 explored the relations between formal methods and graphical notation...
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Formal Engineering Methods, ICFEM 2006, held in Macao, China, in November 2006. The 38 revised full papers presented together with three keynote talks were carefully reviewed and selected from 108 submissions. The papers address all current issues in formal methods and their applications in software engineering.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Workshop and Tutorial, FMTea 2019, Held as Part of the Third World Congress on Formal Methods, FM 2019, Porto, Portugal, October 2019. The 14 full papers presented together with 3 abstract papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 22 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections named: Tutorial lectures; Teaching Program Verification; Teaching Program Development; and Effective Teaching Techniques.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Integrated Formal Methods, IFM 2013, held in Turku, Finland, in June 2013. The 25 revised full papers presented together with 4 invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 84 full paper submissions. The papers cover the spectrum of integrated formal methods, focusing on refinement, integration, translation, verification, reachability and model checking, usability and testing, distributed systems, semantics, and system-level analysis.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th International Symposium on Formal Techniques in Real-Time and Fault-Tolerant Systems, FTRTFT 2000, held in Pune, India in September 2000. The 21 revised full papers presented together with three invited contributions were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on model checking, fault tolerance, scheduling, validation, verification, logic and automata.
We welcome you to Coordination ’99, the third in a series of conferences d- icated to an important perspective on the development of complex software systems. That perspective is shared by a growing community of researchers - terested in models, languages, and implementation techniques for coordination. The last decade has seen the emergence of a class of models and languages variously termed “coordination languages”, “con?guration languages”, “arc- tectural description languages”, and “agent-oriented programming languages”. Formal methods traditionally address the question of transforming software engineering into a mature engineering discipline. This essentially refers to trusting that the software-intensive systems that form our society’s infrastructures are behaving according to their specifications. More recently, formal methods are also used to understand properties and evolution laws of existing complex and adaptive systems—man-made such as smart electrical grids or natural ones such as biological networks. A tribute to Professor Kaisa Sere’s contributions to the field of computer science, From Action Systems to Distributed Systems: The Refinement Approach is the first book to address the impact of ...
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 15th International Conference on the Quality of Information and Communications Technology, QUATIC 2022, held in Talavera de la Reina, Spain, in September 2022. The 18 full papers and 3 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 54 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections: smart and advanced systems; verification and validation; skills and education; industrial experiences and applications; safety, security and privacy.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Coordination Models and Languages, COORDINATION 2012, held in Stockholm, Sweden, in June 2012, as one of the DisCoTec 2012 events. The 18 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 55 submissions. The papers cover a wide range of topics including coordination of social collaboration processes, coordination of mobile systems in peer-to-peer and ad-hoc networks, programming and reasoning about distributed and concurrent software, types, contracts, synchronization, coordination patterns, and families of distributed systems.
