John Kensett was known as a Luminist painter. Luminism was an American Landscape Painting style that made use of Light in the art to depict calm and tranquility while also hiding the brushstrokes. Kensett was heavily influence by, Thomas Cole the founder of The Hudson River School. His work differed from Cole's in his use of lighter colors and less dramatic topography.
This is the legacy of Gary Fenske's crusade to immortalize invisible luminous art. In a black & white world, Gary saw color for the first time. Luminous art changed his life. Driven to push the limits of imagination, his journey plunges us into the dark realm of “Night Vision's” with it's rich history that the art world long ago forgot.Filled with full color images of invisible art by luminous artist Gary Fenske.

This collection of poetry and paintings by artist Arica Hilton chronicles the infinite forms of life in an unlimited universe, from the birth of a star to sunrises and sunsets visible to the human eye, and to more tangible aspects of life on earth such as fire and water. Influenced by the late nineteenth century Luminists, who depicted the effects of light and atmosphere, Hilton seeks to capture light from the sun, the stars, and the earth.
