Rosie's Story
About Rosie Rosie was a real soul who lived on Rosemoore Lake from 2007 2012. She came from Michigan to our lake along with her friend and partner Moorey. Delivered in postal carriers and released into our lake, both swans brought a majestic and special sense of pride and love to the people who lived on or around the lake who helped to feed and support them. There were many others that would come from the outside of the neighborhood to take pictures of them. Rosie had a star like quality to her as she loved to be photographed and told how great she was. She endured the loss of Moorey, Bobby and all of her babies over a four year time period. It was sad to watch her look for all her loved ones. Her story is about the feelings associated with loss and the difficulty in adjusting to change, letting go and moving forward. To live in hearts we leave behind Is not to die (Thomas Campbell)

The Bean Tree
Robert Bean was born 3 May 1764 in Virginia and died 17 November 1824 in Marion County, Tennessee. His wife was Martha Womack (1758-ca. 1840). They had eleven children. Descendants have lived mainly in Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Alabama and Oklahoma.
The Collings, Richeys, and the Pigeon Roost Massacre
William Elston Collings (1758-1828) and his wife, Phoebe Haugland, with their family lived at Pigeon Roost, Scott County, Indiana. They, along with the entire community, were subjects of the Indian massacre of 3 September, 1812. The authors have tried to locate descendants of the survivors, who have scattered throughout the country.

Thomas Broughton (d.1737) immigrated from England to Berkeley County, South Carolina before 1690. Descendants lived in South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas and elsewhere. Includes other Broughton immigrants to New England, Virginia and elsewhere.
