This story begins with a beautiful flower, the lotus flower. Unlike many other flowers, the lotus faces many challenges in surviving underneath the surface of the water. It is surrounded by mud, muck and insects. Despite these conditions, the lotus flower perseveres and overcome these obstacles to make its way to the water surface, where it will bloom to be as beautiful as can be. This story is related to all our MLDA's family stories. No matter what our condition in life we are facing the some obstacles, sadness, illness, and death. However, like the lotus flower, there is still Hope for a beautiful life. We simply need to remain resilient, continue to grow and rise above the adversity. This book highlights our lovely children who continue to grow and remain resilient in order to live life to the fullest.
