Ten eerste is het opvallend dat veel kunstenaars gefascineerd zijn door het hybride hedendaagse landschap waarin de verschillen tussen centrum en periferie, tussen stad en platteland en tussen natuur en cultuur niet langer duidelijk gedefinieerd zijn.
