La comunicació epistolar de la família Burguès durant l’estada a Coromines (1727-1774)
Aquest llibre transcriu, analitza i interpreta la correspondència familiar —inèdita— de la família Burguès durant la seva estada a Coromines (Sant Martí Sescorts) entre 1730 i 1765. El casament de l’hereu Narcís de Burguès i de Font amb la pubilla Isabel Coromines el 1727 va implicar el trasllat de part de la família a terres osonenques. Aquesta circumstància i la necessitat de mantenir la comunicació entre els parents i els amics van generar un notable volum de correspondència. A través de les cartes s’han pogut reconstruir diferents episodis familiars: la nefasta relació entre l’hereu i el seu pare, les reivindicacions de la noblesa catalana davant la justícia i Cort, l’estratègia per aconseguir dues mongies del monestir de Ripoll i la turmentada vida matrimonial de Manuel Sisternes, fiscal de la Reial Audiència de Catalunya. La cultura escrita del segle XVIII català queda reflectida en les pràctiques epistolars que apliquen els corresponsals de la família Burguès quan escriuen cartes familiars, gratulatòries, consolatòries o amoroses.
