Carl Ludvig Henricksson (or Henriksson) was born 14 November 1850 in Munka-Ljungby, province of Skane, Sweden, son of Dreng Henrik Larsson of Hjernarp and Johanna Mansdotter of Hillarp. Ludvig married Thilda Olasdotter, born 4 March 1857 in Boarp, parish of Hjarnarp, daughter of Ola Sonesson and Johanna Nilsdotter. Ludvig immigrated in 1872, living first in Kansas and then settling in Worcester, Massachusetts. He returned to Sweden, engaged Thilda and they were married in 1879.
