La tesis intenta una primera aproximacion a la poesia de Gustavo Saravi -poeta argentino contemporaneo-. El trabajo parte de una contextualizacion basica:el ambiente de una ciudad -La Plata- que se caracterizo por la abundancia y peculariedad de sus poetas. Luego de una breve biografia, se llega al estudio formal de las tres matrices metricas basicas: soneto, verso li-bre y haikai. Se intenta una redefinicion de las especies de acuerdo con su utilizacion por este autor.
