This two-volume set constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First International Conference International Conference on Application of Big Data, Blockchain, and Internet of Things for Education Informatization. The conference was held in August 2021 and due to COVID-19 pandemic virtually. The 99 revised full papers and 45 short papers have been selected from 503 submissions. The papers describe research fields such as “big data” and “information education”. The aim of the conference is to provide international cooperation and exchange platforms for big data and information education experts, scholars and enterprise developers to share research results, discuss existing problems and challenges, and explore cutting-edge science and technology.
In this era of 5G digital communication, the implementation of industry 4.0 is the need of the hour. The main aim of this industrial revolution is to completely automate the industry for better productivity, correct decision making and increased efficiency. All the concepts of industry 4.0 can only be implemented with the help of Cyber Physical System aka CPS. This is a smart system in which complete mechanism is monitored and controlled by computer-based algorithms. Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability are the three major concern for providing the add on security to any organization or a system. It has become a biggest challenge among the security professionals to secure these cyber ...
The incorporation of Cognitive Radio (CR) into the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) has emerged as the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Section 1 covers the aspects of cognitive radio when it provides support to IoV. The challenges which limit the performance of ITS are highlighted in this chapter. These issues include unreliable delivery, the dynamic topology of IoV, routing overhead, scalability, and energy, to name a few. The issues can be considered as future research directions for a promising intelligent transportation system. Machine learning (ML) is a promising discipline of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to train the CR-based IoV system so that it can make decisions for improved spe...
This book covers topics related to medical practices from communications technology point of view. The book provides detailed inside information about the use of health informatics and emerging technologies for the well-being of patients. Each chapter in this book focuses on a specific development in the use of informatics in healthcare. In general, each chapter uses various emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Cloud computing, Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN), for various health-related illness, such as tuberculosis, heart diseases, asthma and various epidemic outbreaks. The book is intended both for communications engineers with a healthcare focus and medical researchers.
This book provides an in-depth examination of recent research advances in cloud-edge-end computing, covering theory, technologies, architectures, methods, applications, and future research directions. It aims to present state-of-the-art models and optimization methods for fusing and integrating clouds, edges, and devices. Cloud-edge-end computing provides users with low-latency, high-reliability, and cost-effective services through the fusion and integration of clouds, edges, and devices. As a result, it is now widely used in various application scenarios. The book introduces the background and fundamental concepts of clouds, edges, and devices, and details the evolution, concepts, enabling ...
The Global Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Applications (GCAIA 2021) provides a prominent venue for researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and scholar students to share their research ideas in the area of AI. Academic researchers would reveal the results and conclusions of laboratory based investigations via the GCAIA 21 platform, which bridges the gap between academia, industry, and government ethics. The GCAIA 21 platform will also bring together regional and worldwide issues to explore current advancements in contemporary Computation Intelligence. This Conference Proceedings volume contains the written versions of most of the contributions presented during the conference of GCAIA 2021. The conference has provided an excellent chance for researchers from diverse locations to present and debate their work in the field of artificial intelligence and its applications. It includes a selection of 62 papers. All accepted papers were subjected to strict peer-review by 2–4 expert referees. The papers have been selected for this volume because of their quality and their relevance to the theme of the conference.
This book constitutes the refereed post-conference proceedings of the 7th International Conference on IoT as a Service, IoTaaS 2021, which took place in Sydney, Australia, in December 2021. Due to COVID-19 pandemic the conference was held virtually. The 17 revised full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 129 submissions. The papers are divided in content-related tracks: Intelligent IoT communication solutions; Social Internet of Things: security, management; Machine learning prediction and recommendation in IoT.
This book reviews IoT-centric vulnerabilities from a multidimensional perspective by elaborating on IoT attack vectors, their impacts on well-known security objectives, attacks which exploit such vulnerabilities, coupled with their corresponding remediation methodologies. This book further highlights the severity of the IoT problem at large, through disclosing incidents of Internet-scale IoT exploitations, while putting forward a preliminary prototype and associated results to aid in the IoT mitigation objective. Moreover, this book summarizes and discloses findings, inferences, and open challenges to inspire future research addressing theoretical and empirical aspects related to the imperat...
