A Mathematical Model to Analyze the Role of Uncertain and Indeterminate Factors in the Spread of Pandemics like COVID-19 Using Neutrosophy: A Case Study of India

This work using neutrosophic cognitive maps proves mathematically how these indeterminate and unknown factors are responsible for the spread of COVID-19 in India. The Neutrosophic Cognitive Map (NCM) is an enhanced version of Fuzzy Cognitive Map (FCM) since it takes into account the concept of indeterminacy and uncertainty, which is not addressed by FCMs. The obtained results not only show the importance of determinate factors (measures taken by the government bodies) in containing the spread of this deadly virus but also show how indeterminate and uncertain factors such as poverty, negligence, ineffectual healthcare, age, immunity, unscientific practices on religious grounds and illiteracy play a vital role in this regard. This model, in general, helps policymakers and government agencies to represent any complicated situation mathematically thereby helping them in responding appropriately and forming new policies for dealing with such pandemics. This work also signifies how neutrosophic theories can be applied in the analysis of the situation for dealing with real life problems..

Neutrosophic Logic to Navigate Uncertainty of Security Events in Mexico

A significant degree of uncertainty surrounds security events in Mexico because of the interaction of multiple socioeconomic and political elements. Conventional probabilistic and logical approaches frequently fall short of properly handling this uncertainty. To effectively navigate and manage security incidents in Mexico, this study suggests applying neutrosophic logic, an extension of classical logic that allows for indeterminacy and partial knowledge. Neutrosophic logic provides a more adaptable framework for making decisions in uncertain contexts by simultaneously handling true, false, and indeterminate values. In this study, we have created a neutrosophic-based model that includes metri...

Neutrosophic Cognitive Maps for Situation Analysis

There are various factors which lead to the criminal behaviour in humans. Prominent researchers monitoring the situation of crime in Nigeria cite poverty, unemployment, family-breakdown, bribing & corruption, lack of co-operation from public and negative perception of police to be the major causes behind criminal behaviour.

Induced Plithogenic Cognitive Maps with Combined Connection Matrix to investigate the glitches of online learning system

Plithogenic Cognitive Maps (PCM) introduced by Nivetha and Smarandache are extensively applied in decision making. This research work extends PCM to Induced PCM by introducing the concept of combined connection matrix (CCM). The proposed induced PCM decision making model with CCM is applied to examine the glitches of online learning system. It was observed that expert’s opinion on the associational impact between the factors considered for study in the form combined connection matrix is more advantageous on comparison with conventional connection matrix representation, as CCM is a mixture of crisp/fuzzy/intuitionistic/neutrosophic representations. The proposed model will certainly facilitate the decision makers in designing optimal solutions to the real time problems and it shall be extended based on the needs of the decision makers and employed in various other decision making environment. The shortcomings of the model are also discussed in brief.
