Arts - Therapies - Communication European Arts Therapy
Stipulation of a present actual position of Art Therapy, however, inevitably leads to further thoughts about ongoing development. Everything required for the theoretical-practical founding of a European Art Therapy, as discipline still has to be done, including construction of a communicative bridge to partners in other continents or countries. This development work has two strands of development. One follows a more theoretical direction with European Art Therapy as a research and teaching subject as an objective in view. The other is directed more towards practical fieldwork, which, in turn, can lead to the establishment of funds of experience as well as quantitative and qualitative investigations and thus to theoretical-methodical statements. In the contributions on hand both connections pervade. Naturally the individual articles in this collection do not fully expound the volume of art therapeutic work throughout Europe but they are a source of information and inspiration for the user from theory and / or practice, who can then find his particular niche with his own specific interests within the cross-section and subsequently continue the discourse spatially and objectively.

Arts - Therapies - Communication is designed as two volumes. The first deals with art therapy studies from Great Britain and the non-European countries. The second offers topic-related contributions from other European regions and countries. Under the auspices of the European Consortium for Art Therapies Education (ECArTE), a European art therapy is articulating itself. This publication is not only aimed at art therapists, music therapists, drama and dance therapists but also at psychotherapists and clinical psychologists, teachers, sociologists and doctors. With regard to method and theory, different directions and psychoanalytical approaches are represented and it also addresses a wide spectrum of clinical and non-clinical contexts and illnesses.

Sobre artistas, muñecos y algunos espejos rotos
Por que hablar de artistas, de munecas y de espejos? o de munecos y su relacion con el arte? o de espejos que nos muestran aquello que no queremos ver? Iremos poco a poco intentando contestar estas preguntas. Lo haremos en dos tiempos. En la primera parte veremos que es un muneco, como se ha representado, para que sirve. Solo para jugar en la infancia? Que representa para las personas adultas? Son protagonistas de novelas y de peliculas cinematograficas, munecas que no solo sirven para jugar, sino tambien como reemplazo de algo, como objeto de deseo... En el primer tiempo comenzaremos con los munecos automatas. Iremos al encuentro de creadores ya fallecidos que hicieron o encargaron hacer, munecos o munecas que formaron parte en algun momento de sus vidas. Veremos si es que no se sentian comodos con sus cuerpos y querian verse en otros. O querer ser mas fuertes en esos otros personajes a los que podian amar, odiar, acariciar o hasta matar. En el segunda tiempo versaremos sobre distintos artistas actuales y sus relaciones con sus munecos creados. Incursionar en la obra y su relacion con el objeto muneco de Paola Rego, de Annette Messager, y de varios artistas llamados outsiders."
