The compiled data give a comparative analysis with similar farm businesses and a complete financial and production summary of their own business. Individual farm businesses participating in the project, ranged from smaller part-time businesses to large multi-enterprise farms. This document gives project analyses for dairy, cow-calf, mink, tree fruit, and swine farm businesses, including income statements, balance sheets, and management and financial analyses.

Accountability Report, 2004-05
The Department is responsible for agriculture, fishery, and aquaculture services and legislation in Nova Scotia. The purpose of this report is to provide an overview of ongoing work and achievements made toward core business priorities and performance measures for the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, including the Nova Scotia Agricultural College during the fiscal year. Four core businesses are outlined, each with a number of priority items: sustainable resource management; industry growth and development; responsible governance; and education, training, skill development and life-long learning. A summary of budgeted and actual expenditures is included.
