Business Plan, 2003-04
The Office of Economic Development, an entity resulting from a merger in 2002 of the Department of Economic Development and the Technology & Science Secretariat, is the focal point within the Nova Scotia government for advancing economic, technology, & innovation agendas. This plan document presents messages from the executives, states the Office's mission, and reviews the context in which the plan has been formulated. The document then lists strategic goals, describes the roles of the Office's core business areas, and sets out planned priorities for each area (co-ordination & leadership, improving the business climate, technology & information management, innovation, expanding regional capacity). The final part contains a budget estimate and a table of performance measures & targets.
