This title takes an interdisciplinary approach to the central role of solubility in pathological biomineralisation, ranging from traditional thermodynamics and kinetics to unusual concepts such as the PILP process. The scientific background and expertise of the contributors, ranges accordingly from solubility modelling and database development, renal stone and bone implant research, Mössbauer spectroscopy and structural chemistry to biochemistry and crystallisation. Stupidity. What is it? Is is just something we see our neighbors and parents/kids do (and members of the opposite political party)? Or is it something more? Why does it seem to be so universal? It presents six fundamentals of stupidity that lead to the stupid choices we see all around us. Included among these are the belief that there are no moral values, that God does not exist, and that it is acceptable to become addicted and to treat others badly and be proud.
