Il piacere dello studio teorico delle imbarcazioni si accompagnava al richiamo di un ancoraggio che non fosse solo un luogo geografico ma soprattutto il simbolo di un diverso stile di vita, sempre più difficile da definire, da comunicare e soprattutto da condividere. Poi il fondamentale incontro con una compagna per la vita, che è riuscita a mettere i suoi sogni dentro ai miei, e la decisione di lasciare i rispettivi lavori, partire alla ricerca di qualcosa, senza un programma né una scadenza.
