El incremento del uso de los dispositivos móviles, laptop, tablets y redes inalámbricas dispuestas en espacios educativos, ha despertado la innovación de modelos educativos que buscan la diversidad y multidisciplinariedad. El cómic, por ejemplo, brinda al alumno un lenguaje claro y cotidiano, siendo un medio visual que refuerza ideas y conceptos abstractos. Todo lo anterior se potencializa en una versión digital bilingüe, ya que, al ser visualizado mediante una herramienta tecnológica, conduce al lector a desarrollar habilidades en el uso de las TIC y a su vez la práctica del segundo idioma.
