Four guys and a series of trips to Spain in the summer if 2001 provide a slice of life of a generation, mixed with irony, surreal meetings and a good dose of introspection. The story starts from the end: Daniele, the main character, has just come home from the last journey. As he rests on his bed, he looks back on what happened in his life in the last months, inspired by shadows and things in his room. What comes out, in the shape of his journey, is a search for answers to questions of an entire generation. The narrator, Daniele, takes the reader jumping forward and back in months and years, collecting emotions and memories with a musical trace of U2's songs, always present. Everything finds its own place, eventually, in the puzzle of Daniele's memory illuminated in his abat-jour.

Quattro ragazzi e una serie di viaggi in Spagna nell'estate del 2001. Tanto basta per dare vita a uno spaccato generazionale corredato da ironia, incontri surreali e una buona dose di introspezione. La storia inizia dalla fine: Daniele, il protagonista, e appena tornato dall'ultimo viaggio in Spagna. Steso sul suo letto, mette a fuoco una serie di ricordi prendendo spunto da tutto cio che gli capita sotto gli occhi. Da qui parte il racconto dei viaggi che porta, pian piano, delle risposte a una serie di domande che non appartengono solo al protagonista ma a molti della sua generazione. La voce narrante salta temporalmente da un viaggio all'altro, collegando emozioni e riverberi non solo del momento ma di anni passati, e alternandosi a dialoghi divertentissimi e fuori dagli schemi. Le immagini scorrono veloci con un sottofondo musicale degli U2 che, assieme al buon ritmo di scrittura, rende cinematico il racconto. Tutto, alla fine, trova posto nel puzzle dei ricordi alla luce dell'abat-jour della camera di Daniele."
