Streit um das Jüdische Museum
Jüdische Museen im deutschsprachigen Raum - dies scheint gleichsam eine für Konflikte vorprogrammierte Materie zu sein. Der Band rekonstruiert zentrale Aspekte dieser an unterschiedlichen Orten aufgebrochenen Konflikte. Texte zu Berlin, Fürth i. B. und Hohenems/Österreich stehen exemplarisch für derartige Auseinandersetzungen. Intensiv geht der Band dann auf die im Jahre 2000 geführte Kontroverse um das Jüdische Museum in der kleinen tauberfränkischen Stadt Creglingen ein. Wie in einem Brennspiegel fokussieren sich hier die auch anderwärts geführten Auseinandersetzungen, die national wie aber auch international Wellen ge-schlagen haben, etwa in Großbritannien, in den Niederlanden oder auch in Frankreich.
