Investigation Into the Dirhodium-catalyzed Hydroformylation of 1-alkenes and Preparation of a Novel Tetraphosphine Ligand
The deactivation of the dirhodium catalyst by CO has been previously demonstrated, and in situ NMR spectroscopic studies have indicated that facile fragmentation is occurring at 90°C under H 2/CO pressure, but also at 25°C, albeit at a slower rate, which can lead to complete catalyst deactivation. We are trying to address this problem through the design of a novel, far more strongly chelating tetraphosphine ligand rac-et,ph-P4-Ph (et,ph-P4-Ph = PEt2( o-C6H4)P(Ph)CH2(Ph)P(o-C 6H4)PEt2). A Genealogical History of the Rene Prevost Family from Quebec to Creston, Iowa
Rene Prevost, Sr., the son of Nicolas Provost married Anne Daudelin, the daughter of Nicolas Daudelin at the Parish of St. Anne de la Perade, Quebec, Canada on 9 January 1684. They were the parents of nine children. Their son Rene Prevost, Jr. (b.1706) married at Varennes, Quebec, to Marie M. Brunel in 1731. A descendant, Leon (Leander) E. Provost (1847-1921) was the son of Joseph Provost and Salome Louise Demers of St. Constant, Quebec, Canada. Family members emigrated to the US and settled at Holyoke, Massachusetts. Several generations of ancestors and descendants are given, including fourteen generations.
