Denne bog handler om, hvad jeg mener er gufmad. For mig er gufmad de retter, som smager ekstra godt, som frembringer positive minder om hygge, og som gerne har en historie eller anekdote med sig. Dens primære mål er at gøre det nemmere for amatører at lave god mad. Med denne som bog nummer to i serien har jeg nu skiftet fokus fra familiefavoritter til at se på både kendte og måske mindre kendte italienske og amerikanske favoritter med pasta, pizza, barbecue, burgere og Tex-Mex-retter. Det er saftsuseme også gufmad og faktisk meget nemmere at lave godt, end du måske lige tror. Jeg tager for givet, at fundamentet om smagsforståelse og teknik i køkkenet fra første bog er på plads hos læseren.
