Rüppell's Parrot, alternatively referred to as Rueppell's Long-tailed Parrot or Rüppell's Parrot, is an African-native parrot species. These parrots, which are formally classified as Poicephalus rueppellii, are located primarily in the semi-arid areas of northeastern Africa, such as northern Uganda, Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, and parts of Ethiopia. With a red patch on their shoulder and a predominately green plumage complemented by blue patterns on their wings and tail, these parrots are renowned for their striking appearance.
