Reconstrucción de una historia
Se aborda la historia de la construcción de la iglesia de San Mateo Chalcatzingo que abarca todo el período hasta la conformación de un complejo arquitectónico compuesto por una iglesia con campanario, bóvedas y cúpulas, así como una fachada barroca. La secuencia constructiva de la iglesia se basó en la información contenida en sus muros y argamasas, por medio de la metodología propuesta por la Arqueología de la arquitectura, el análisis paramental y la estratigrafía muraria.
