I will never say “Well, it is just fate, and there is nothing we can do about it.” No, I will not step aside! I will demand justice until justice is done! Yes, I believe firmly in destiny and the Hereafter, but I also believe that if I let those perpetrators get away with their horrendous crimes, shame on me! Yes, shame on me! Until my last breath, I will chase the murderers and their bosses! I will do everything in my power, and if I cannot get any results in this world… There is a God! There is a Hereafter! There is Divine Justice! I fully believe!

Sarina Strumpens Studie geht erstmals systematisch der Frage nach, inwiefern sich in den Alter(n)s- und Versorgungserwartungen der Menschen tatsächlich transnationale, transkulturelle oder auch transreligiöse Phänomene rekonstruieren lassen. Es entfaltet sich ein vielschichtiges Bild der kulturell und religiös begründeten Erwartungen an Hilfe, Pflege und Solidarität im Alter dieser Personengruppe, das mit dem theoretisch-konzeptionellen Wissenschaftsdiskurs ins Gespräch gebracht wird.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 21st Annual Conference on Medical Image Understanding and Analysis, MIUA 2017, held in Edinburgh, UK, in July 2017. The 82 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 105 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on retinal imaging, ultrasound imaging, cardiovascular imaging, oncology imaging, mammography image analysis, image enhancement and alignment, modeling and segmentation of preclinical, body and histological imaging, feature detection and classification. The chapters 'Model-Based Correction of Segmentation Errors in Digitised Histological Images' and 'Unsupervised Superpixel-Based Segmentation of Histopathological Images with Consensus Clustering' are open access under a CC BY 4.0 license.
