The Journey Home

The Journey Home picks up where Be the Lighthouse left off and follows me past 1,000 Days of Bound Lotus, through several Solstices, jobs, and well, through life itself. Written in 27 months as opposed to the 9 of my previous book, The Journey Home is intensely personal just as Be the Lighthouse was. I'm deeply honored to share my journey with you, may these pages inspire and carry you along, on your own journey, wherever it takes you.

TV-a-Go-Go

From Elvis and a hound dog wearing matching tuxedos and the comic adventures of artificially produced bands to elaborate music videos and contrived reality-show contests, television--as this critical look brilliantly shows--has done a superb job of presenting the energy of rock in a fabulously entertaining but patently "fake" manner. The dichotomy of "fake" and "real" music as it is portrayed on television is presented in detail through many generations of rock music: the Monkees shared the charts with the Beatles, Tupac and Slayer fans voted for corny American Idols, and shows like" Shindig! "and "Soul Train "somehow captured the unhinged energy of rock far more effectively than most long-h...

Wordsof Silenceis a loosely connected series of inspirational shorts, written in theform of what I call yogic poetry. The subject matter varies from peopleand places to anything and everything that inspires me as I journeythrough life. It's very personal and yet intended to provoke thought in the reader. The poems as a whole tell their own story, one of peace, hope, love and light. In Words of Silence, the titles and the poems themselves are bookends of the never ending journey to become more. We're all on this journey of self discovery and at long last, I've discovered exactly who and what I am and I'm sharing every step of the way, with the world, here in Words of Silence. Peace and blessings, Steve Coffing

A compelling and evocative history of an ordinary 21st century American family detailing its varied and diverse historical and cultural elements through out history.
