This collection contains concrete poet and publisher Stuart Mills' library of approximately 440 items, including books, booklets, cards, periodicals, and prints by Stuart Mills and his collaborators. Many of the publications are authored or edited by people whose correspondence with Stuart Mills Papers, 1956-2017, held by Princeton University Library's Manuscripts Division. The collection consists of 36 folders, divided into four sections. Section 1: Publications by Stuart Mills, Collaborators, and Friends includes works by the following authors: David Bellingham (WAX366), Laurie and Thomas A. Clark, Simon Cutts, Stephen Duncalf, Alec Finlay (Morning Star), Harry Gilonis, Julie Johnstone (Essence Press), Robert Lax, Stuart Mills, Colin Sackett, Gael Turnbull, and Erica Van Horn. Section 2 consists of books, booklets and cards; section 3 consists of magazines and periodicals, and section 4 consists of Tarasque Ian Hamilton Finlay prints. An appendix contains 1 folder of correspondence and documents. The collection thus gives insight into Mills' place in the field of concrete and visual poetry and small-press publishing in the United Kingdom in the late twentieth century.
