Johannes Detweiler was born August 24, 1721. He married Anna Reiff November 1, 1744. He was a merchant in Perkiomen Twp. and owned a 200 acre farm near Rahns, Pennsylvania. He died December 9, 1806. Descendants live mainly in Pennsylvania, with some in other locations in the United States and Canada.
