Felix Claus
This TC book shows us the work carried out by the Dutch architect Felix Claus during the period in which he led the Amsterdam office of the prestigious Claus & Kaan studio. This period covers from 1996 to 2014, in which both creators decided to continue their work separately. Finished works are published, specifically a total of 26, mostly located in the Netherlands with the exception of a small house in Tokyo. In all the works, special care and attention has been paid to the set of plans and construction details that are published more widely, taking advantage of the new format of the magazine, with the aim of showing the complete repertoire of solutions put in place by this Dutch architect, different scales and programs. The issue ends with an article where Felix Claus explains, from the experience, his particular vision of how the teaching of architecture should serve to preserve this discipline and train designers with sufficient independence of thought that allows them to face the challenges of society in the future. Thinking, Drawing, Modelling
This book presents a selection of papers from the International Conference Geometrias’17, which was hosted by the Department of Architecture at the University of Coimbra from 16 to 18 June 2017. The Geometrias conferences, organized by Aproged (the Portuguese Geometry and Drawing Teachers’ Association), foster debate and exchange on practical and theoretical research in mathematics, architecture, the arts, engineering, and related fields. Geometrias’17, with the leitmotif “Thinking, Drawing, Modelling”, brought together a group of recognized experts to discuss the importance of geometric literacy and the science of representation for the development of scientific and technological research and professional practices. The 12 peer-reviewed papers gathered here show how geometry, drawing, stereotomy, and the science of representation are still at the core of every act leading to the conception and materialization of form, and highlight their continuing relevance for scholars and professionals in the fields of architecture, engineering, and applied mathematics.

From Vernacular to World Heritage
This publication brings together the results of the project 3DPAST: Living and virtual visiting European World Heritage, co-funded by the Creative Europe EU programme. The research highlighted the exceptional character and quality of living in vernacular dwellings found in World Heritage sites. This was possible by seizing the cultural space of European vernacular heritage, located in Pico island (Portugal), Cuenca town (Spain), Pienza (Italy), Old Rauma (Finland), Transylvania (Romania), Berat & Gjirokastra (Albania), Pátmos (Greece), and Upper Svaneti (Georgia). New digital realities grant the possibility to visit and to appreciate those places, to non-travelling audiences, who lack the opportunity to experience this unique heritage in situ. Creative potential is highlighted in 3D models and digital visualisations, which associate outstanding local knowledge with the vernacular expression of World Heritage.
