O livro Hoje em 1970 é a segunda obra da coletânea “50 Anos de História”, idealizada e produzida pelo Instituto Durango Duarte (IDD), que apresenta, para o leitor, algumas das principais efemérides ocorridas na cidade de Manaus a partir do final da década de 1960 e seus anos subsequentes, utilizando como fonte o material jornalístico local publicado nos cinco maiores jornais impressos da época.
