A partir de las experiencias y viajes del autor, como la participación en los procesos políticos, educativos e investigativos de las comunidades y organizaciones rurales o en los movimientos campesino, indígena y negro, esta investigación muestra tensiones y reflexiones necesarias para la reconstrucción de la memoria histórica de las comunidades rurales y su relación con los procesos de resistencia y transformación. La realización del proceso educativo propuesto en este libro tuvo en cuenta una serie de encuentros, visitas e intercambios con organizaciones de la región.
