Der zeitliche Bogen spannt sich von den 1920er- bis zu den 1970er-Jahren - darunter fallen die konkret-konstruktivistische Kunst zwischen den Weltkriegen und die konkrete Kunst nach 1945. Den Schwerpunkt des Katalogs bilden zentrale Werkgruppen von zwölf Künstlerinnen, die durch Beiträge hochkarätiger Kunstexperten sowie Künstlern beleuchtet werden.
