INAP, the International Network on Innovative Apprenticeship has steadily grown to incorporate researchers from all over the world. In 2019 it's 8th international conference hosted by Konstanz University, Germany, points to various issues linked to contemporary apprenticeship reforms and reconfigurations, which indicates the need for apprenticeships to deliver on its promise of workplace skills and for it to evolve and also to change as the world economies develop. Apprenticeship is a model of work and training, which has benefits for many different types of economies and societies. The Architecture of Innovative Apprenticeship
Benefiting from the support and involvement of two major international research networks, this collection features the latest research findings in TVET. Members of INAP, the International Network on Innovative Apprenticeship, and VETNET, the Vocational Education and Training Network, have contributed key research findings to this detailed survey of the field. Featuring the inclusion of the internationally recognized memorandum released in April 2012 by the INAP Architecture Apprenticeship Commission, the volume covers a wealth of issues relating to technical and vocational education and training, including exemplar architectures such as successful school-to-work transitions, competence assessment and development models, and governance, including the role of stakeholders. The book provides many opportunities to explore in depth the scholarly debate on TVET, as well as to learn from positive international experiences. It aims to inform the practice of TVET professionals as much as the decision making of administrators.
Innovative Apprenticeships
The transition from school to vocational education is of different quality and performance in the diverse national VET systems and heavily determined by the different structures of governance in the national education and VET systems. In September 2009, the International Network on Innovative Apprenticeship (INAP) hosted its third international conference in Turin bringing together leading researchers in the area of international TVET research. Measuring and Developing Professional Competences in COMET
This book is a detailed manual for the implementation of competence diagnostics in the field of vocational training. With the COMET competence model, both conceptual competences as well as practical skills are recorded and evaluated. The manual guides through all methodological steps, including the preparation and implementation of tests, cross and longitudinal studies, the development of context analyses and measurement methods for the test motivation. The focus of the final chapter is the application of the COMET procedure for the design, organisation and evaluation of vocational education and training processes.

Grundlagen der modernen beruflichen Bildung
Schlanke Organisationsstrukturen in der Arbeitswelt erfordern mitdenkende Arbeitnehmer und Arbeitnehmerinnen, die die Prozesse der Arbeitswelt mitgestalten. Die berufliche Bildung setzt diese Anforderungen in einem neuen Leitbild um. Felix Rauner zeichnet in seinem Buch die Grundlagen für das veränderte Zusammenspiel von Arbeit, Technik und Bildung nach. Er zeigt, welchen Einfluss die Leitidee von der Mitgestaltung der Arbeitswelt auf die Berufsbildungsplanung und -forschung sowie auf die Gestaltung beruflicher Bildungsprozesse hat. In der Neuauflage seines Grundlagenwerks aus dem Jahr 2017 werden aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse sowie Erkenntnisse aus dem Wandel der Arbeitswelt der letzten Jahre vorgestellt. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt ist die Kompetenzdiagnostik nach der COMET-Methode. Kompetenzdiagnostik in der beruflichen Bildung
"COMET auf dem Prüfstand" war das Motto einer Konferenz mit Expertinnen und Experten auf dem Gebiet der Kompetenzdiagnostik und -entwicklung in der beruflichen Bildung. Wie in keinem anderen Feld der Berufsbildungsforschung kommt den Fachleuten der Berufsbildungspraxis eine Schlüsselrolle zu. Von ihrer Bewertung der COMET-Methode in der Ausbildung für gewerblich-technische, kaufmännische und Gesundheitsberufe in dualen und fachschulischen Bildungsgängen hängt es ab, wie COMET Eingang in die Qualitätssicherung und -entwicklung der beruflichen Bildung finden wird. Mit diesem Buch legt die Berufsbildungsforschung eine eindrucksvolle Bilanz der COMET-Projekte im deutschsprachigen Raum vor.
Personalstrategische Maßnahmen von deutschen Unternehmen in China
Das duale Ausbildungssystem stellt hinsichtlich der Rekrutierung, Qualifizierung und Bindung von Fachkräften eine der wichtigsten Säulen für deutsche mittelständische Unternehmen dar. Einführend stellt der Autor das bewährte COMET-Testverfahren zur Messung beruflicher Kompetenzen in der Berufsbildung vor. Anschließend zeigt er anhand ausgewählter Beispiele, welche Schlüsse aus den Testergebnissen für die Qualitätsentwicklung der beruflichen Bildung gezogen werden können.
