Equivariant Sheaves and Functors
The equivariant derived category of sheaves is introduced. All usual functors on sheaves are extended to the equivariant situation. Some applications to the equivariant intersection cohomology are given. The theory may be useful to specialists in representation theory, algebraic geometry or topology.
Noncommutative Motives
The theory of motives began in the early 1960s when Grothendieck envisioned the existence of a "universal cohomology theory of algebraic varieties". The theory of noncommutative motives is more recent. It began in the 1980s when the Moscow school (Beilinson, Bondal, Kapranov, Manin, and others) began the study of algebraic varieties via their derived categories of coherent sheaves, and continued in the 2000s when Kontsevich conjectured the existence of a "universal invariant of noncommutative algebraic varieties". The Geometry of Cubic Hypersurfaces
Cubic hypersurfaces are described by almost the simplest possible polynomial equations, yet their behaviour is rich enough to demonstrate many of the central challenges in algebraic geometry. With exercises and detailed references to the wider literature, this thorough text introduces cubic hypersurfaces and all the techniques needed to study them. The book starts by laying the foundations for the study of cubic hypersurfaces and of many other algebraic varieties, covering cohomology and Hodge theory of hypersurfaces, moduli spaces of those and Fano varieties of linear subspaces contained in hypersurfaces. The next three chapters examine the general machinery applied to cubic hypersurfaces of dimension two, three, and four. Representations of Algebras, Geometry and Physics
This volume contains selected expository lectures delivered at the 2018 Maurice Auslander Distinguished Lectures and International Conference, held April 25–30, 2018, at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Woods Hole, MA. Reflecting recent developments in modern representation theory of algebras, the selected topics include an introduction to a new class of quiver algebras on surfaces, called “geodesic ghor algebras”, a detailed presentation of Feynman categories from a representation-theoretic viewpoint, connections between representations of quivers and the structure theory of Coxeter groups, powerful new applications of approximable triangulated categories, new results on the heart of a t t-structure, and an introduction to methods of constructive category theory.
