The proceedings of the Twenty-First International Workshop on Condensed Matter Theories held in Luso, Portugal in September 1997 include some 20 contributions, arranged in five sections: applications of the coupled cluster methods; applications of density functional theory; quantum fluids and the Bose gas; manifestations of electron correlations; and conductivity and magneto-resistivity.
