This book chronicles the life and career of W. Robert Paine who followed his passion to become an illustrator and artist, finally settling in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1981 where he opened and owned The W. Robert Paine Art Gallery.

In addition to the contents of the publised volume, this folio contains Robert Troup Paine's holograph compositions, his silhouette taken at the age of seven, an allegorical watercolor painted by Mary Ann Paine (Robert's mother), pressed flowers from which the allegorical painting was taken, certificates and diplomas awarded to Dr. Martyn Paine, and two portraits of Dr. Paine. The inside back cover is inlaid with a lock of hair, a daguerreotype of R.T. Paine and a daguerreotype of the Paine family (Dr. Paine, Mary Anne Paine, and Robert Troup Paine).
