John Whitworth was born in 1673. He married Mary Claiborne in about 1690, probably in Virginia. They had one known son, Thomas (c. 1690-1764), who married Mary Winston. They had six children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri. Also includes other Whitworth lines.
The William Whitworth Descendants (1797-1838)
William D. Whitworth (1797-1838) was born in Virginia. He married Mourning T. Brantley in 1820. Their first children were born in Huntsville, Alabama. William later died in Donelson, Tennessee. Descendants lived in Tennessee and elsewhere.

Abraham Whitworth
Abraham Whitworth was born in Bedford County, Virginia. He married (1) Nancy Board in 1799 in Bedford County Virginia and (2) Bethlehem Berryman in 1815 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky. Descendants lived in Kentucky and elsewhere.
