The book contains annotations, sketches and photographs tipped in by Burges, dated 1863-1881, comprising his corrections for a proposed 3rd edition (not published). There is also a copy of a letter tipped in the book, dated 12 March 1879, from Burges to J. L. Pearson, with a list of works on Westminster Abbey.
