This work attempts to give a picture of William Branham's life in one volume. In order to do that a series of discrete events from his life is presented and commented upon in some detail. These chapters or "slices of life" compare to similar events in Jesus' life and show the spiritual power and the element of the miraculous that accompanied him throughout his life. The visitation of angels, the hundreds of healings, and dozens of miracles are documented yet Brother Branham emphatically rejected any suggestion that he was a "Divine Healer," but continued always to give praise and credit to the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

At the same time, this book will inform the reader where each "revelation" came from, whether it was the Kaballah, Dead Sea Scrolls, the works of Clarence Larkin, and more.

The Healer-prophet

This study of William Marrion Branham's ministry reveals much about the healing methodology of deliverance evangelists. Branham's theology of healing highlights the widely accepted role of evangelists as mediators between God and the afflicted. The dynamic growth of Pentecostalism in the twentieth century is a major feature of the modern religious scene. Branham is acknowledged as a leader of the healing revival movement. Although little known outside of the Pentecostal movement, his work had tremendous influence on today's televangelists and the whole of Pentecostalism itself.

Sola scriptura is Latin for "by scripture alone." It is the idea the Bible contains all knowledge necessary for salvation and holiness. This, in fact, was one of my motives to dig deeper. Was William Branham really "sola scriptura?" I truly believe that all teaching should be filtered through the Bible. If it agrees with the Bible, then the teaching is accurate. If not, then we are following a false teaching, and likely a false teacher. Was William Branham "Sola Scriptura?"

Jesus speaks of the dreadful events that Zechariah describe. He warned them that the time would catch people unaware. Many would be celbrating just as it was in the days of Noah when they were taken by surprise. John writes in Revelation 10 that there would be a great celebration at the killing of the two witnesses. Jesus said it was also like the days of Lot, when they were celebrating and building. Fire and sulfur caught them unaware. William Branham said that his ministry was the "Evening Light," yet the Bible says that all of these things must happen before the "Evening Light" comes.
