This narrative by William Nelson Gremillion details the men as they made their way from Avoyelles to the war front and back home. Detailed maps show the path of the men through Mississsippi, Tennessee and Kentucky.Portraits of eight of the men have been added to this second edition by Randy DeCuir and Carlos Mayeux on behalf of La Commission des Avoyelles.
