Conflict and Peacebuilding in the African Great Lakes Region

El presente libro es parte de este primer ciclo del Programa de investigación asociativa de Género y Diversidad Sexual -GEDIS- de la universidad Alberto Hurtado de Chile. Su propósito es poner a disposición de una comunidad amplia una serie de estudios sobre género y diversidad sexual, realizada por académicos y académicas, estudios que levantan temas contingentes para problematizar las distintas formas que adopta el análisis de género en el campo de las ciencias sociales en Chile. Además, nos acompaña en este intento, Blas Radi, filósofo de la universidad de Buenos Aires y creador de la primera cátedra de estudios trans en América Latina. En este libro, se plasman preguntas sobre la persistencia de la homo/lesbo/transfobia, la construcción de identidades homosexuales o no binarias y la existencia de espacios de resistencia sexual y cultural en las instituciones. El objetivo es dar cuenta del interés que existe en las ciencias sociales por mirar y comprender complejamente cómo la concepción de género se ha transformado en el Chile actual.
